Capital markets regulator Sebi has barred three individuals from the securities markets for providing unauthorised investment advisory services. Besides, they have been restrained from the securities markets for six months. The present proceedings emanate from a show cause notice dated July 31, 2021 issued by Sebi to RNS Global Capital and its proprietors’ — Lakhan Chouhan, Rohit Soni and Shivani Thakur — alleging that they were engaged in unauthorised investment advisory services. 13 killed in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur as car collides with tanker
At least 13 people were killed on Thursday morning when a Tata Sumo car rammed into a stationary tanker on the Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway 44. The incident took place at around 7.15 am when the vehicle carrying 13 individuals rammed into the stationary tanker. 12 individuals died on the spot, while one suffered critical wounds, eventually succumbing to injuries, PTI reported. Sebi stand upheld, but SC refuses to halt voting on Reliance Commercial Finance resolution
In a relief to Reliance Commercial Finance’s (RCF) shareholders, the Supreme Court has allowed its voting process to go through, saying any “unscrambling” of the resolution process will not only prove time-consuming but may also “adversely affect” the debenture holders (DHs) who have agreed to a negotiated settlement. The dissenting DHs should be given an option to accept the terms of the Resolution Plan or pursue other legal means to recover their dues, the apex court said, while setting aside the Bombay High Court judgment that had allowed the shareholders to carry out a voting process based on the Debenture …
